About Gregory Giacomini

Headshot

When I was sixteen years old I was given a Gospel tract that changed my life. I read the tract , was convicted of my sins and asked Jesus for forgiveness and to come into my heart. When I was eighteen, a dear cousin took me down the Roman’s Road and I again asked Christ to come into my heart. The next morning as I was heading off to breakfast , the Holy Spirit touched me and I knew that I knew God! The first thing that came out of my mouth was, “everyone is going to want to know that they can know God”! From that moment my heart’s desire was to tell everybody about Jesus and how you get to heaven!

I attended a Bible College for a while, and while I was there I backslid and lost my joy. I wasn’t sure if I had lost my salvation or if I would spend the rest of my life wandering in the wilderness like the Israelites of old. I dropped out of college and returned home.

Years later as I was praying for a Jewish friend to trust in Christ, still not assured of my own condition but driven to my knees out of desperation, I had a fresh encounter with the Holy Spirit. I spent three hours on my knees, experiencing the sweetness, warmth and power of the Holy Spirit, a power so awesome that if I had not been assured of my salvation, I would have been terrified. After this I sought out a local church and resumed my study of the Bible anew. During this time I found Luke 11: 9-13, the promise that the Heavenly Father would give the Holy Spirit to those that asked Him. I set my heart to prayer to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and the Heavenly Father granted my request. I remember the day early in the morning I awoke with a burning feeling on my head and my hands were hot! Scared and not knowing what happened to me or what I did wrong. I told my pastor at the time and he comforted me by explaining that it was the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

The Lord has instructed me on sanctification, that through the Holy Spirit we are to put to death the deeds of the flesh and to teach others how to be set apart from their sins and to pursue holiness without which no one will see God.  He has given me “the gift of healing hands” to touch people and pray for healing, a heart to lead as many people as I can to Christ, and commanded me to feed His sheep.
